[vlc] Re: decode wmv9 on debian?

Several packages in debian main include binary codec loaders: totem and
xine at the very least.

The binary loader is not what is currently keeping MPlayer out of Debian,
this is not the main problem, as long as we only use decoders and not
encoders, which are the real problems because their patents are enforced.
