I use ASI cards from computermodules :
http://www.computermodules.com/broadcast/dvb-asi-pci.shtml
They provide a Linux driver and extra tools for configuration (or you
can write your own VLC access module). The TS stream can be read
directly from VLC with :
stream:/dev/asirx0
