[vlc] vlc problem with large frame size

Hi,

it was vlc-0.8.6i .
if the frame size is larger than the screen resolution the video lost
its quality
for example, video size is 684x276 and screen resolution is 640x480

a straight line will displayed aliased, and angled, colors are mismatch

if i use ffmpeg to convert the frame size to small than screen
resolution, then its fine

what's the problem?
