Greetings,
I've had this program before and ran it from your site as a package, now
it's a more of a problem as the install vlc at the command line is
asking for a destination. or it doesn't install I have installed the the
fusion and the other RPM and preformed the commands as listed here :
VLC media player for Fedora
Most of our packages for fedora can be found on RPM Fusion RPM Fusion
You can also use this repository from distribution derived from Fedora
Please report "packaging bugs" on Bugzilla - RPM Fusion
Fedora 9 and Fedora 10
Use RPM Fusion for F9 and F10 (available for x86, x86_64, ppc and ppc64)
Install rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm for F9 and f10
$> su -
#> rpm -ivh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
#> yum install vlc
#> yum install mozilla-vlc (optionnal)
The -ivh doesn't work and I had to remove it. anyway that part was
already installed. I have a vlc-0.9.8a.tar.bz2 But not being familiar
running such file I'm getting a little lost in doing so as when I
extracted the file there was no setup file.
I'm hoping you have a package for this Player or some advise as how to
get it up and running.
Regards,
John Beall
