[vlc] Unable to install VLC !!

What do you mean, "-ivh doesn't work and I had to remove it"?  What was
the error?  If you remove -i, you're no longer installing.  v is
verbose, a nd h is hash marks, to show progress.

Look for a README or INSTALL file.  It's probably ./configure; make;
make install
