[vlc] FIREFOX PROBLEM

Dear videolan,

I am running an intel based imac on OX 10.5.7 with the latest version of
firefox.

I have installed vlc and it appears in the list of plugins on
³about:plugins² on firefox.

My website requires me to preview HDV video clips on-line but when I click
on the relevant file (both with and without a .mov extension), it does not
play and I get the message ³unkown plugin required² and firefox does not
direct me to any plugin.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
