[vlc] install problem

which operating system you use ? MAc OS ? Linux ? Windows ?

for Windows you are not to bother about installs.
Download  
http://sourceforge.net/projects/vlc/files/1.1.0/win32/vlc-1.1.0-win32.7z/download
Unpack it to some folder, and run it without installation at all
