[vlc] firends, please confirm CopyRight issue

Dear Sir or Madam,
       Hello, my friends.We need you confirm the CopyRight about VLC 
media player.
       Well,our Linux Distribution need a  Media Player for our users. 
Now ,we used Totem  ,but gstreamer's plugins don't conform GPL completely.
       I found  "CopyRight 1996-2009  Video Team"   from  Wikipedia 
.And  I got the message below,from  http://www.videolan.org/goodies.html

    OK, we integrate the VLC-media player and dependence's packages to 
our System Distribution ,and  add  these  packages  on our software 
repository,  whether  exist copyright issue.
