[vlc] No Video

I am having trouble with the new VLC Player version that was just released. Ever since I updated I have not been able to see the videos but can only hear the audio. It happens with my mp4, avi, wmv files etc. I am running Vista Ultimate, what is the problem and how can I solve it?
