[vlc] MP4 camera video not full frame

I'm having a problem with viewing the MP4 videos from my hard drive which were made with an Olympus-C770 still frame camera. I can only see the upper left area (quadrant) of the frame on the VLC screen. This started after I upgraded VLC to 1.1.0. I had this problem with the previous version too and I was able to correct it, but I don't remember what I did. I've tried everything I can think of this time with no success. I'm using Windows-XP.
