[vlc] Download from Sony

I had to download a Blu-ray DVD player update for my Sony TV 
(KDL32EX40B) and received it as a VLC.bin file, which is not compatible 
when attempting to burn a CD-R for running the update in the player.

My system is Windows 7 (32-bit). I attempted several downloads, but each 
time they came thru as a VLC.bin file, so drag and burn was not possible.

Why does the download go straight to VLC? It should go into my Windows 
Explorer Library?  I checked my defaults and found nothing that I could 
change.

I'm using VLC to bring in MP3 supported radio stations, yet have not 
assigned any other defaults to VLC. Attempting to "open" the file with 
anything other than VLC has failed.
