I don't care how the file looks, but I don't want the revision history to 
contain commits that change a whole bunch of lines with no actual 
effect.
The exception is for code that is actively developed and I do care how it 
looks -- then cosmetic commits are ok, if they're intentional. Cosmetics 
due to automatic code generation are still wrong.
