[x264-devel] Configuring x264 using SPS and PPS?

Hi,

To be able to stitch H.264 video using inband change of SPS/PPS (avc3), it would be great if it was possible to configure x264 to encode an input video to use the same SPS/PPS as another video is using.
I cannot see any API for it in x264.h, but there is x264_encoder_headers(…) which allows for pulling out what will be used.
What would it take to implement this (for “reasonable” sets of parameter sets)?
