That's on you. You can only propose patches and object to people's patches. 
You cannot force me or anybody else to actively do anything.

That's just you. You've made it abundantly clear that you don't agree with 
that decision, but you were one year late to make that statement. And you did 
not even propose a serious alternative.

The discussion said to deduplicate RC. Nobody said anything about the pseudo-
Telnet interface or VLM:
