Actually I think Gunther is right : the VLANBridge compatibility doesn't
NEED to be deleted, a command line option or an #ifdef would be fine.

The (old) VLANBridge did not request users to make specific kernel
changes to get it to work.

The new one works only on a specific kernel version, requires hand
changes in kernel config and kernel-recompilation, this is not
packageable for example.

So why suppress the existing solution ? Why should we remove emacs of
the debian mirror ?
